A Favorite Dishcloth In A New Color...

Reading and crocheting...two of my favorite things.  Here's a Wednesday picture of a dishcloth (in progress) made from one of my favorite crocheted dishcloth patterns in a fun new colorway of Lily's Sugar 'n Cream cotton - Golden Mist Ombre (perfect for my 60's kitchen with yellow counter tops).
And my current read - Orphan Train by Christina Baker Kline.

Check out Ginny's Small Things blog and see what other yarnies are making and reading.

  1. Love the colours of your dishcloth. I don't think I have ever seen a kitchen with yellow counter tops - I would love to see it. I have always wanted a yellow kitchen - so cheerful.

  2. The colour combination is marvellous! Reminds me exactly of a knitted cushion cover I did last year, with cream and that shade of grey and yellow - there were bee motifs on the cover :) jenny xx

  3. Is this your own pattern? I would like to see your yellow kitchen, too! A yellow 60's counter sounds amazing.

    1. It's actually a mistake of another pattern - which I ended up liking better than the original (for a dishcloth). It's hard to get a lightweight crocheted dishcloth that isn't too "holey". This one ends up being perfect for my tastes. I'm considering posting the pattern.

The comments about my yellow counters is making me feel a lot better about my mid-1960's kitchen. lol. Not wanting to put the money into a remodel right now I'm trying to embrace "retro".
