I am glad you had the courage to ditch it. You look great. A smile goes along way with any hairstyle.
The hair style reminded me of the summer I decided to go cold turkey on the hair color. I was about 41 and was absolutely sure I was a full salt and pepper. I started letting the color go about 6 weeks before school was out and my 4th grade girls were reminding me I needed to see about my roots. I just kept saying I knew and then the day school was out I went and got the shortest haircut I could. By the end of the summer I really had grown out most of the color and my salt and pepper hair remained. When I strolled back in for school in Augues no one knew who I was:)
I wore it short for several years.Sandyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10185422453541735778noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4180424865669168363.post-42702637412455844242024-03-27T18:01:33.310-04:002024-03-27T18:01:33.310-04:00I think you look beautiful! I personally wear my hair short, primarily because I can't be bothered fussing with it. I once worked with a girl who always wore her hair in a buzz cut and it looking wonderful and suited her so well. I can see why you'd want to keep it short for the summer - so much cooler.
And thank you for sharing your thoughts on this and so many other aspects of your journey. So it's not surprising that women, whose hair is commented on a lot, should be very aware of it.Boudhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00641013916263271948noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4180424865669168363.post-52143434923220678492024-03-27T14:15:49.137-04:002024-03-27T14:15:49.137-04:00I think you look fantastic. At least they have been so far, but I'm rapidly staring down 70 and who knows, perhaps it will be cause for bother.
You're going to think this is an old wive's tale and perhaps it is, but....we each keep a bar of soap at the foot of our bed and if we get a cramp in the middle of the night it really helps. It's hard to maintain much dignity when a cramp strikes, but I tried. Night time leg cramps are the worse. I've been woken up by them at night and yes, I cry out (waking hubs) as I try to bolt out of bed into a standing position. I knew voicing my thoughts about the lasagna would not have produced an atmosphere I wanted, so I hope not saying anything about it conveyed just such a relaxed attitude as you describe your sister's style. And I agree, if one is growing them outdoors, there should always be the perk of bringing bouquets indoors to enjoy as well. I have tended to worry when entertaining about whether it's my best cooking on display or just okay (it's never a real disaster). I learned from watching my younger sister, who just presented her dishes without ever seeming to fret if it was perfect or not. I started to model her more relaxed sense of entertaining (she is an awesome hostess and makes people feel welcome and at home). Happy Saturday, Becki. PS. Happy 65th when it arrives!
