It's amazing that you are able to make them the same size - this is actually the most challenging and daunting part of making different stitch patterns.Alinahttp://giftofknitting.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4180424865669168363.post-80771282800908579802017-03-01T09:25:13.559-05:002017-03-01T09:25:13.559-05:00Such a beautiful square :) Such a beautiful square :) CrochetbyErinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03253379478979022128noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4180424865669168363.post-4993170560480509522017-02-28T10:52:59.003-05:002017-02-28T10:52:59.003-05:00Thank you, Lucy!Thank you, Lucy!Beckihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16940604077427078249noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4180424865669168363.post-15952539372329914202017-02-27T16:48:47.660-05:002017-02-27T16:48:47.660-05:00I read on my kindle and I always expand it anyway ...I read on my kindle and I always expand it anyway - so font is fine for me.<br />I love your squares, they will make such a wonderful blanket.Lucy Bowenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11910653399470977610noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4180424865669168363.post-931088339674902052017-02-27T11:47:15.792-05:002017-02-27T11:47:15.792-05:00Thank you, Marsha. :)Thank you, Marsha. :)Beckihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16940604077427078249noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4180424865669168363.post-88598400180631176342017-02-27T11:43:41.545-05:002017-02-27T11:43:41.545-05:00Thank you for your kind words, Sandra. You inspir...Thank you for your kind words, Sandra. You inspire me with all your creativity so your words are a big encouragement. Figuring out what kind of squares I like and what colors I prefer was really January's task and now that I think about it, I've made many more squares than just these four working through those decision processes. For example... I, too, am seeing that I prefer more solid squares, but it took making a couple of lacey ones to recognize that. Choosing my colors was a bigger challenge and only came after working several squares in colors that, in the end, didn't inspire me. I don't have a color theme, per se, but I decided that heathered yarns (specifically Lion Brand Heartland yarns would be my base and I would build my squares from that - sometimes adding heathers and solids from other brands when needed, or if I find them useful. While I love the wild and bright colors of scrapghans I'm, at heart, a restrained gal so I think I'm going to be seeing a color theme emerge as I work my squares. I will challenge myself to get outside my restrained box, but my guess is I'll end up with a sort of "jewel-toned" blanket when all is said and done - just judging by the squares I've created so far. We'll see, though. That unknown keeps this project fresh and fun for me. :)Beckihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16940604077427078249noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4180424865669168363.post-7986090470135561772017-02-27T11:30:16.701-05:002017-02-27T11:30:16.701-05:00Your font was perfect for these old eyes. I love your little sun that you put on your thread reply. Your squares are all awesome! I especially love that they are 'solid' looking which is great for a blanket. I love my giant granny blanket but it won't keep drafts out! LOL! I too spend much time and printer ink scouring the internet for patterns when I have plenty of patterns and WIPs but sometimes it's just nice to 'window shop' right in the comfort of your own home and like your posts, it is very inspirational....I'm long on inspiration! The wait is almost over now, lol.<br />The larger font looks good on my laptop. I rarely use my phone for the internet so I can't give you info on how it looks there, sorry.Cyrahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17238529292232175195noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4180424865669168363.post-11690824479434809102017-02-26T15:43:49.400-05:002017-02-26T15:43:49.400-05:00Yes, my aging eyes prefer larger print too (on a s...Yes, my aging eyes prefer larger print too (on a screen - in print, not so much). But I read pretty much everything that is online on a computer screen. I don't know how this size font translates to reading off say... a phone. Hmmm... I think I'll go try that now that I've brought it up :)Beckihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16940604077427078249noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4180424865669168363.post-42604368958325966292017-02-26T13:54:07.519-05:002017-02-26T13:54:07.519-05:00I like the font size for my old eyes!
