Any excuse will do .... I drink 2 cups a day, the last one usually no later than lunch or it might affect my ability to get to sleep at night. The caffeine can serve as a mild pain reliever, so drinking a cup in the morning helps with the aches and pains that sometimes greet me when I wake up. Enjoying a cup with zucchini bread is good.
Interesting that caffeine can help relieve pain. OTOH, I do know sometimes when I've had a bad headache, I want a Diet Pepsi. I'm sure it's the hit of caffeine I'm after, I just never considered it could help with other pains.
I'm a two cup a day person when it comes to coffee and I'd drink more if I dared. I try to convince myself that I like tea and I don't mind flavoured teas but plain black tea isn't on my list of good things.
I usually have two cups a day one in the morning and one in the afternoon and if there is a special treat like zucchini bread coffee is a must. Have a great Sunday. xx
My wife and I are both non-coffee drinkers. Just don't care for the taste and I don't care for anything coffee flavored. Sometimes I wish I did like it because it's so social! Fortunately, if someone asks me to "grab coffee," they're OK if I go with water or Diet Coke!
Bob, I like the idea of drinking coffee more than I actually like the taste of it. When meeting someone "for coffee", I generally order something else also.
Such a pretty coffee cup!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Debra. It's a Starbucks mug. It's one of two that were gifts from SIL years ago.
DeleteI am definitely a black coffee drinker every morning and maybe a cup in the afternoon. I like your little cup.
ReplyDeleteI'm not a big coffee fan, but when I drink it I only like black coffee. Not too strong. No sweeteners, no added flavors.
DeleteEVERY morning ritual here.
ReplyDeleteI figured that was the case, Sis. ;^)
DeleteBeautiful! I really hope you get more sleep soon it's so vital to our well being 🙏🩷
ReplyDeleteThank you, Elizabeth. I'm working on getting into a better schedule. Looking online for helps and finding some interesting things...

DeleteYou are a wise and sensible woman.
ReplyDeleteI'll take that, May! But really, the reason I don't drink much coffee is because I'm not typically drawn to the taste of it.

ReplyDeleteI sort of like blackberry and berry zinger tea. And unsweetened iced tea. But hot black tea... not so much either.
DeleteDid you toast your zucchini bread? Coffee drinking is down to one cup a day...frugality as much as anything else.
ReplyDeleteI didn't, Vee. I just sliced it and ate it. The crusts were kind of crispy, though. It was still good three(?) days later.
DeleteEnjoy seeing a glimpse into your daily life.
ReplyDeleteWell, welcome in, Marsha.

ReplyDeleteThe times I like to drink coffee most often coincide with eating something sweet.
