Another Linen Stitch Scarf

I finally finished weaving in the ends of my fourth linen stitch scarf!  The yarn is Red Heart Boutique Unforgettable in two different colorways:  Echo and Petunia.

While time consuming, this is a super simple stitch pattern that produces a very gratifying end product - especially with color changing yarn.

And while I want nothing more than to make more of these scarves - again, because they are so gratifying to watch develop, I am finally moving on to other things.  For a while...

  1. What a pretty scarf. That will be cosy in the cold weather.

    1. Thank you, Una. I do love how these two colors work together. Each time I make one, though, I have a dilemma. I waffle over hoping I find the perfect person to gift it to, or keeping it and using it myself. No hurries, I guess. It's hot and humid in Indiana now and I have at least 4 months before anyone will be contemplating wearing scarves.

  2. They are all so lovely, but I think this is my favourite so far. I got a little chuckle out of your comment that it is time consuming (your other post said about 10 hours). I think my last scarf took me a full month of working about an hour per night. Knitting, though, but I guess I'm a little slow at it.

    1. Thank you, Natalie. I know crocheting, in general, goes more quickly than knitting, but this stitch puts me in mind of knitting - every stitch is small and it seems to inch along so sloooowly. Crocheting it lengthwise, no doubt, adds to that perception.
