See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will He not much more clothe you—you of little faith? - Matthew 6:28-30
I love them like that. Raw. Just need to find a nut cracker that works better for arthritis. :) Glad you got to enjoy them, Becki! Be safe and God bless.
I understand, Linda. The nutcracker my husband used in the video is a little easier, but my hand strength is pretty abysmal and I have trouble cracking a really hard nut even with that one.
You've reminded me that we haven't bought nuts like that in years. When both DH and I were growing up it was a Christmas-thing to have a big bag of them available to whoever wanted to spend time cracking them.
Mary Anne, Hubs and I both remember growing up with a bowl full of nuts at Christmas time. We don't think to do it often, but when we do, it's kind of fun to do the hard work of getting a nut out of its shell.
Looked like a lot of work for one nut.
ReplyDeleteLOL, Marsha. Indeed.
DeleteI think I'd have reached for the hammer!
ReplyDeleteI think he was ready to a few times, Liz. :D

ReplyDeleteSame here, I haven't done this recently, but we used to. Maybe working on a puzzle and cracking nuts together!

DeleteThat's a great idea, Martha. Cracking nuts, together, though is a nice pastime all by itself.
DeleteI like nuts, too!
