First, Sacred Space. I was finally (and only) able to complete Part 1 this week, but it feels like an accomplishment with 30 rounds!
Part 2 only has half as many rounds as Part 1, so here's hoping they go a little more quickly. Although... just looking at the pictures, Part 2 looks kind of intense. We'll see. Looks can be deceiving with this sort of thing.

And I wonder if anyone can finally guess what this may be:
I had to do a bit of surgery on it, but the pink floss will come up against the black (on the right side) before it's finished. Depending on what life throws my way this week, I might have this finished by next Sunday.
And that's it, really. Christmas Dazzle (blanket) is continuing to come along, and I'd say it would easily be finished by next week too, but I have a feeling the above two projects will be calling to me more. 😊

Love how the pink (sunset?) is making the black of the (tree?) pop. Your sacred space is amazing - very meditative.
ReplyDeleteMeditative... I like that.
DeleteThose colors in Sacred Space really pop. Is it hard to crochet with the dark yarn? I am at a loss as to what the cross stitch is. I still see a tree against a sunset/sunrise.
ReplyDeleteIt isn't nearly as hard to crochet with black as I thought it would be. Mostly, I sit under a daylight bulb, but I'm finding I can sit under a normal (soft white) bulb and crochet without much problem. I think you'll be surprised when you see the cross stitch reveal photo. ;^)
DeleteOk I think I see a young girl with a ponytail kneeling down picking a bouquet of wild flowers! I LOVE how the black yarn is really making those colours pop on your sacred space.
ReplyDeleteYou think so, huh? Well, I look forward to showing it (hopefully next week)! I'm glad you like the Sacred Space colors. I'm liking the black, too.
DeleteOh Becki your Sacred Space is awesome, just love it with black, I am tempted to another one using black.Part 2 and 3 are a lit long, but I broke it up with other projects so I didnt get bogged down, Part 4 is a breeze, I have almost finished it.
ReplyDeleteYour cross stitch is lovely I think it is a girl with a ponytail picking flowers.
Thank you, Sharon. I am really happy so far with my choice. I do wish it were more original, but given how the designer's version turned out I think I'll be happy with having a "copy cat" version. :) Glad to hear Part 4 is a breeze. Part 1 wasn't difficult, but it did get a bit tedious on those stacked shells (I'll call them). Part 4 will be a reward for working through Parts 2 & 3 is sounds like. :)
DeleteI absolutely love the colours you're using in Sacred Space - can't wait to see what happens with the next step. As for another guess (I finally resorted to saving the picture and turning it every which way to see what came to mind) and I'm still seeing a termite hill...but when it's upside down perhaps it's beneath a tree with a field of poppies behind. I know....I have no imagination!!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Mary Anne! I'm laughing that you've puzzled over my cross stitch to that degree. I'm also tickled that all you can see is a termite hill. I think that's my favorite guess of all!
DeleteFunny how something enters your mind and then you can't see anything else!
DeleteWOWZA; what a showstopper your Sacred Space is! It is amazing.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Stef!
DeleteOh my goodness, that Sacred Space is going to be stunning! (It already is.) Tree against sunset for the x-stitch? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
ReplyDeleteThere is a sunset in the cross stitch picture. :)
DeleteYour Sacred Space is stunning with the black. It really shows off the design. I have no clue as to what your cross stitch is but it certainly pretty.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Sam. :)
DeleteThe colors in your Sacred Space really stand out!
ReplyDelete:)
DeleteBoth blankets are going to be so pretty. I have to say I have no idea what you are stitching.
ReplyDeleteThe Sacred Space is beautiful Becki! :) Hmmm...I'm saying some kind of tree...
