And my current read - Orphan Train by Christina Baker Kline.
Check out Ginny's Small Things blog and see what other yarnies are making and reading.
See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will He not much more clothe you—you of little faith? - Matthew 6:28-30
Love the colours of your dishcloth. I don't think I have ever seen a kitchen with yellow counter tops - I would love to see it. I have always wanted a yellow kitchen - so cheerful.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jayne. :^)
DeleteThe colour combination is marvellous! Reminds me exactly of a knitted cushion cover I did last year, with cream and that shade of grey and yellow - there were bee motifs on the cover :) jenny xx

Thank you, Jenny. I'd love to see your cushion. I'll visit your blog and see if I can find it there.
DeleteIs this your own pattern? I would like to see your yellow kitchen, too! A yellow 60's counter sounds amazing.
ReplyDeleteIt's actually a mistake of another pattern - which I ended up liking better than the original (for a dishcloth). It's hard to get a lightweight crocheted dishcloth that isn't too "holey". This one ends up being perfect for my tastes. I'm considering posting the pattern.
DeleteThe comments about my yellow counters is making me feel a lot better about my mid-1960's kitchen. lol. Not wanting to put the money into a remodel right now I'm trying to embrace "retro".
Love the colour combination it looks a bit retro 1950's/60's...really nice. Orphan train sounds interesting. Is it based on a true story?
