30 Days to less - day 10

Today I'm rehoming some Frankoma pottery pieces.

Hub's parents were collectors of various things, among them Frankoma Pottery.  We have some pieces we enjoy using on a regular basis, and added a few more from their collection, but these remaining items really don't need to take up residence with us.  So, hopefully, they'll soon find new homes.

Day 10:  84 things gone

  1. My mom collected Frankoma pottery as well. When she passed, I gave it to my brother. I don't think anyone outside of the midwest knows what it is. You have done quite well again today!

    1. It would have been great if someone in the family wanted these. We even tried to give them away to a few different people. My BIL inherited some collectable Frankoma plates MIL had displayed. And Hubs inherited a different collection - some of which will probably make it into a post before the month is over. ;^)

  2. Shouldn't be hard to find a new home for the Frankoma. There are collectors all over.

    1. It was a call we wavered over, but even though we know some people collect Frankoma pottery, and I doubt these pieces are being made anymore (checking out their website), a quick look at ebay makes me think nothing above is actually valuable at this point in time. Add to that, I think some are seconds, and at least one piece is chipped... sigh... we concluded we don't want to try to sell them as collectable items. We kept what we'd enjoy using or displaying and hopefully someone will find these wherever they end up being donated and a ministry will benefit from their sale.

  3. Wish I lived closer because I'd happily take a couple of those. Maybe it's a good thing I don't live closer....
